We are now seeking a talented data analyst to join the technology reporting team. The candidate's responsibilities will include analysis, requirements gathering, report generation, and issue resolution. In this role, the candidate will directly empower business users to enable positive financial growth for the company. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of SQL and Excel and will have excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Responsibilities: - Provide actionable analysis and recommendations
- Respond to customer questions regarding data availability, data accuracy and data definitions
- Serve as a report developer providing regular and ad hoc reports to business stakeholders
- Verify the accuracy of reports before delivery
- Support and improve upon existing reporting queries
- Provide input for business reporting requirements
- Work closely with the Business Intelligence (BI) team to define standards for report and best practices
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications: - BA/BS degree from a four-year college or university in a related field required
- 2+ years of data analysis experience required.
- 2+ years of experience developing moderate to complex SQL queries required
- 2+ years of experience using advanced Excel functionality (charts, pivot tables, etc.) required
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proven ability to listen and communicate with internal customers.
- Experience with marketing and web-specific data highly desirable.
- Experience with commercial report development (using Cognos, Crystal, Actuate, etc.) a plus.
- Experience with data warehouses a plus.
- Experience with other analytical techniques (data mining, etc.) a plus
- Experience with MySQL a plus
