All Star Directories Names Douglas Brown to Serve as President

Company Strengthens Executive Team with Senior Operating Executive

SEATTLE, Washington - October 4, 2005 - All Star Directories, Inc., the Internet's fastest growing publisher of school directories, today announced that the company has named Douglas Brown as its new president. In this newly created role, Brown will have day-to-day operational responsibility for the business. All Star Directories founder Mike Mathieu will continue serving as CEO.

"Doug is a highly talented executive with a proven track record in transitioning early-to-mid stage companies into strong scalable operating enterprises. With Doug handling the operational responsibilities, I'll be able to concentrate on the future strategic direction of the company."

Brown brings an impressive range of experience to All Star Directories. With a background in general management, corporate finance, strategic planning, and organizational development, Brown has expertise in helping entrepreneurs develop good management and corporate governance practices and has served as a director of 18 companies and non-profit enterprises, including Sensaria, GoAhead Software, Smashing Ideas, and the MIT Enterprise Forum.

Brown started his career in Seattle with Ernst & Young, an international accounting and consulting firm and subsequently became a chief financial officer for Seattle Silicon and Phamis, Inc. Later in his career, Brown worked for the venture capital firm Phoenix Partners and Paladin Partners, an early-stage consulting practice. Brown also served as a division president with Leggett & Platt, a Fortune 500 manufacturing company, where he managed three subsidiaries with combined annual sales of $50 million.

Brown holds a BS in Business from the University of Idaho.
