HR & Administration

Clark supports All Star’s Finance team and the company by performing critical accounting and financial operations.

Clark comes to All Star with 20 years of finance experience in a diverse range of commercial areas, including state government, international humanitarian aid, and the industrial maritime sector. Most recently he was the A/R, treasury, and crew payroll lead at a small-fleet luxury cruise line.

In his past roles, Clark has supported an array of financial and administrative operations, as well as developing and implementing operational documents and resources, from novel budgeting and cost analysis methodologies to desk manuals, shipping tariffs, and compliance-driven safety and certification forms. He has worked on an international scale, with highlights that include coordinating and tracking travel vaccine requirements for a dive crew deployed in Saudi Arabia; supporting a tax audit by the government of Cambodia; resolving account and supply chain issues with manufacturing stakeholders in Europe and the Far East; and working in a wide variety of currencies, including some lesser-known ones like MAD, CFA, and XPF.

His favorite part of working at All Star is the company’s focus as a business on goals and aspirations, which he says is reflected in the people who work here. “There’s a premium on taking initiative and solving problems in new ways,” he notes, “and that facilitates a lot of personal growth and a great culture across the company.”

Clark attended Seattle Pacific University and also completed a Portuguese language immersion course in Lisbon in 2018.

Outside of work, he indulges his passion for language, culture, and music. “I’ve written and recorded several albums, the last one bilingually in English and Portuguese. I’m also expanding my background in German.” Clark’s also been a member of the Volunteer Park Conservatory for many years, and looks after a “small jungle of my own plants at home.” He says an ideal day might include a swim, a good book or film, and a project in the kitchen accompanied by Chris Isaak or some Cuban jazz.
