All Star Since:
Laura joined All Star after college as a temporary Account Representative, was promoted to Senior Sales Manager then Director of Channel Marketing, and is now our Senior Director of Marketing.
Prior to working at All Star, Laura worked as a project monitor for a large contract construction company for a year. She left that position when she accepted the contract Account Representative role at All Star. Laura says she knew from the beginning that “All Star was the right place for me,” and she enjoys being part of a company with integrity and strong ethical values, where employees are appreciated and recognized for their contributions, and where everyone works hard because they want to make a difference.
As part of the All Star team, her coworkers are her favorite part about working at All Star. Laura believes that not only are they all wonderful individuals, but the ability to challenge each other, debate and collaborate, and respect individual opinions collectively contribute to All Star’s culture and success. She also feels that All Star’s commitment to integrity and doing what is right is exemplified both within all levels of the organization and outside the organization with customers.
Laura’s educational background is in English and Psychology, with a BA in English Literature and a minor in Psychology.
In her spare time, Laura loves to be active and to spend time with her family (ideally, she says, “I get to do both at the same time”). She also loves running and enthuses that All Star’s wonderful office location means daily—or as time allows—she can take off on her favorite running path along the Seattle waterfront. As a life-long Seattleite, she pretty much enjoys any activity that gets her outdoors regardless of the weather, although on particularly rainy Seattle evenings, her favorite activity is to curl up with a good book and a glass a wine. Otherwise, she likes to travel, play sports, try new restaurants, cook, watch scary movies and partake in spontaneous adventures.
