Nils is a back-end developer on All Star’s Demand Gen team.

Nils previously worked as a contractor at All Star before joining the team full time. Before coming to All Star he was a Senior Software Engineer at C-Map (formerly a Boeing-owned company called Jeppesen) in Norway.

There he worked as a Server-side Java developer on a system for distributing electronic nautical charts used by commercial ships. He created RESTful Services used by the client web applications, exposing data in PostgreSQL and AWS DynamoDB databases, and implemented business logic related to licensing and invoicing.

Nils also created a prototype application for a marketing department at Concur, his first job in the U.S. after moving back from Scandinavia in 2016. He says he was “very happy with how it turned out” and that he was able to support marketing as a temporary, one-person development team.

Nils earned his BS in Computer Science and a BA in Philosophy from Pacific Lutheran University.

When he’s not working he serves as Treasurer of Surfrider Foundation / Olympic Peninsula Chapter, teaches skiing at the Hurricane Ridge Winter Sports Club, and enjoys surfing, skiing, and trail running.
