We’re Stronger Together

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at All Star Directories

At All Star Directories, we believe great minds think alike—and differently. We are an equal opportunity employer, committed to fostering a creative workplace that draws on the experiences, perspectives, and capabilities of people with all backgrounds to create an inclusive environment for all employees, customers, and users.

Our business is founded on the principles of evolution, growth, and leadership—in the workplace, in our industry, and in our community. Our values define who we are, what we stand for, and what we want to cultivate in our workplace.

Be Authentic

Some companies are looking for a “type.” We want you exactly as you are.

Deliver Excellence

By tapping into each person’s unique viewpoint, we come together to create excellent experiences for employees, users, and customers, wherever they are in their journey.

Win Together

We pride ourselves on having a highly collaborative environment. Like the musicians of an orchestra playing in harmony, we believe each person, each point of view, contributes a vital part to the whole.

Earn Trust

Creativity is fostered at All Star; employees have room to experiment, grow, fail, and introduce new ideas. We take care of our employees so that, in turn, they take care of our customers.

Demonstrate Passion

In partnership with the Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA) Racial Diversity in Tech Pact, All Star is committed to hiring, promoting, and retaining a more diverse workforce. We have developed a Diversity & Inclusion Committee to carry out these initiatives. Our community outreach team focuses their efforts to help organizations that serve diverse populations in our local community.

wtia

All Star, in conjunction with the WTIA, has signed the anti-racism in tech pact which joins many Washington Technology employers together in an effort to end systematic racism in the Tech Industry.

Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Recruiting and Hiring

We are taking the necessary steps to create a workforce that is reflective of the community in which we operate. Our job openings are placed on hiring platforms that reach diverse audiences to attract a variety of talented candidates. We welcome individuals from different backgrounds to apply, and we are taking steps toward eliminating unconscious bias from our hiring process.

Mentoring and Retention

All Star fosters a culture of continuous improvement for our staff. This may include the opportunity to attend workshops, seminars, conferences, professional organization meetings, and college courses. The intention of offering this support is to develop the functional and leadership skills of employees in their current positions, and/or prepare them for future roles within All Star.

We have established a mentorship program at All Star. Mentors and mentees are matched to develop professional relationships and cultivate ownership of individual career development.

Promotion

We frequently evaluate the skills gaps and needs of an open position to see if we can train an existing employee to fill the role and reinforce professional development and promotion within the organization. Employees joining us at entry-level positions are hired with the aim of continuous growth, should we have opportunities for promotion both within and across departments.

Diversity Training

We have rolled out four diversity training courses for our employees and have three more courses slated to launch by June 2023. Through these sessions, we strive to educate our employees to eliminate biases related to recruiting, hiring, mentoring, retention, and promotion. This will help us create an even more diverse workforce and inclusive culture at All Star.
